Open Enrollment Hands-on Classes - FAQ

Have questions about pur open enrollment hands-on classes? The following is a list of some of the most common questions we get...

What do I get as a student of a hands-on class?

Students receive the class manual which includes the slides used in lectures and hands-on labs associated with the lectures. In addition, some classes may include a ZIP download containing sample code and other utilities.

How long do classes run?

Hands-on classes vary in length in terms of how many days, but most are 4 days long (check each class’ agenda page for more details).

What is the daily schedule like?

Again, the agenda for each class varies, but most classes run from 9 AM to 5 PM local.

Can I bring my own workstation (laptop) & virtual machine?

Yes! However keep in mind some demos and hands-on labs may be written for the virtual machine we preload on your machine. The vast majority of the code and demos will run just fine… however there may be some things you need to address on a case-by-case basis. For instance, server names, Active Directory domain names, passwords, etc.
